Accepted Waste: What We Take, What Needs a Call, and What We Don't
Our Accepted Waste Is Domestic, and Only Domestic
American Bioclean’s accepted waste is domestic waste: septic, portable toilet and grease trap loads, biosolids and residual wastewater, received at our facility at 495 S. SR 415 in New Smyrna Beach from licensed haulers in any county. Drilling mud, bore mud, dirt and muck are accepted too, with prior approval.
Some of it you can bring in without a word to us. Some of it needs a phone call first, and a few things we cannot take at all. This page sets out which is which, so nobody makes a wasted trip.

Accepted with No Call Ahead
- Septic waste — domestic septage from residential and commercial septic systems
- Portable toilet waste — from portable restroom companies
- Grease trap waste — fats, oils and grease from commercial kitchen traps
These make up most of what crosses our scale. There is no appointment and three lanes run at once, and the facility is open 24/7 for accepted loads, with an RFID tag or a phone call after hours.
Accepted After a Phone Call
These are all welcome here. They vary more from load to load, so we talk first.
- Biosolids — the facility that produces them needs a signed agreement with us before the first load. It is a one-page form for the facility’s operator or manager, and about 80 facilities already have one.
- Residual wastewater — tank bottoms, process by-products and sludge. Call before the first delivery so we can confirm it qualifies.
- Drilling mud, bore mud, dirt and muck — prior approval for every job. Call or text (386) 304-1870 before you haul, or (386) 451-5607 after hours or if no one picks up.
What We Cannot Accept
- Industrial wastewater or process water
- Hazardous material of any kind
- Contaminated soil
- Anything else outside our permitted scope
These are refused at the gate whatever the volume. If there is any doubt about what is in a tank, call before you fill it — it takes a minute and saves the trip.
How Pricing Works
We do not publish a rate sheet, because the price depends on the material and the volume. Here is how it works:
- Quoted on request — call and we will give you a current figure the same business day
- Billed per dump — by credit card or ACH. We do not use credit applications
- After-hours loads are billed as a full load — the scale is not running outside office hours, so a part-full tank is usually cheaper to bring in during the day
- Truck cleaning is $250 cash — about an hour, by appointment
Bring It Right and You Leave Empty
Bring domestic, accepted waste and you drive out with an empty truck, every time. Knowing what qualifies before you load is what makes that promise work — and it is the reason this page exists.
Haulers bring loads here from every county in the region. See drive times from each county.
Not sure your load qualifies, or want current pricing? Call (386) 304-1870 or email info@abio.us before you haul. After hours, or if no one picks up, call (386) 451-5607.
Common Questions

Yes. Portable toilet waste is domestic waste, and we accept it from licensed haulers in any county.
No. Our permits cover domestic waste only. Industrial wastewater, hazardous material and contaminated soil are refused at the gate.
Biosolids are regulated by the Florida DEP, which tracks every load from pickup to drop-off on a signed hauling manifest. The agreement confirms the facility that produced them has signed off before the first load arrives.
Because the price depends on what you are bringing and how much of it. Call (386) 304-1870 and we will give you a current figure the same business day.
