A 150-Acre Facility Built Around Getting You Back on the Road

Inside the Wastewater Facility at 495 S. SR 415

American Bioclean operates a 150-acre wastewater receiving and treatment facility at 495 S. SR 415, New Smyrna Beach, Florida. It has three dumping lanes, an automated RFID scale house, 100,000 gallons of permitted storage, on-site truck cleaning, and a gate that opens 24 hours a day for anyone carrying a tag.

Most of what we have invested in here has one purpose: reducing the time a truck spends not working.

Quick Facts

Three Lanes, So Nobody Waits

Most disposal sites run a single lane. One truck unloads, everyone else sits behind it, and a fifteen-minute job becomes an hour depending on who arrived first.

We run three. Three trucks unload at the same time, which in practice means a queue almost never forms. For a hauler being paid by the job rather than the hour, that is the difference between fitting in another stop and not.

A Scale House That Runs Itself

Weighing and paperwork are handled by an RFID system that works like an E-PASS. Pull onto the scale, wave the tag across the reader to record your loaded weight, dump, then reverse back on and wave it again to weigh out. The transaction closes itself — nobody leaves the cab to fill in a form.

At 7:30 PM the same evening, a complete ticket arrives in your company inbox: date, time, company, truck ID, weight loaded and empty, gallons and price. More about how the tags work.

Open When Your Route Ends, Not When Our Office Does

The office runs Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. The facility does not close. Outside office hours the same RFID tag opens the electric gate, so a load that comes off a tank at nine at night has somewhere to go that night.

Because the scale is not running after hours, those loads are billed as a full load — the tank’s total capacity. The after-hours page explains when that works in your favor and when it does not.

100,000 Gallons of Holding Capacity

Permitted storage is what lets a facility say yes to a delivery that was not on the plan. Ours holds 100,000 gallons, which is generally enough to absorb an unscheduled arrival or a volume larger than expected rather than sending it away.

The site was laid out with expansion in mind. Capacity is deliberately not the thing that limits how long a customer can grow with us.

Truck Cleaning on the Same Site

Very few facilities in this region have the equipment to clean a vacuum truck, largely because the wash water has to go somewhere permitted and most sites have nowhere to put it. We do, so a cleaning can be booked for a morning you are already dumping — one trip instead of two.

Treated Here, Under Our Own Permits

Everything that crosses the scale is treated on this site, licensed by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the Volusia County Health Department. It does not get consolidated and moved on to a third party, which is what keeps the chain of custody short and the paperwork simple.

Want to see it, or check whether we can take what you are carrying? Call (386) 304-1870 — the office is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
