Food Processing Grease Disposal for Plants and Production Kitchens

Food Processing Grease Disposal for Traps and Interceptors

American Bioclean provides food processing grease disposal for plants, commercial bakeries, commissaries and other food producers across East Central Florida. We accept grease trap waste and grease interceptor waste from food processing sites as domestic waste, and treat it at our DEP-permitted facility in New Smyrna Beach.

What we cannot take is industrial process water. That line is set by our permits, and this page is clear about where it falls, so nobody sends a truck we have to turn away.

Quick Facts

What a Food Processing Site Can Send Us

  • Grease interceptor waste from the large in-ground interceptors on site
  • Grease trap waste from plant kitchens, cafeterias and smaller traps
  • Septage from plants and facilities on septic systems, pumped by your licensed contractor

All of it is domestic waste, and your hauler can bring it in without an appointment. If it is the first load from your site, call before it is pumped so we can confirm it qualifies.

What We Cannot Take

Our permits cover domestic waste only. From a food processing site, that means we cannot accept:

  • Industrial process water from production lines
  • Cleaning and sanitation chemicals
  • Anything hazardous

If an interceptor or tank could have received chemicals, or you are not sure whether a stream counts as process water, call (386) 304-1870 before the truck is sent. It is a short call, and far better than a refused load.

Grease Service From Our Sister Company

If you need your grease traps serviced as well as disposed of, our sister company North East Treatment provides grease trap service and used cooking oil collection from this same address, on (386) 843-0497. What they collect is treated here, so the chain of custody from your plant to final treatment is two sister companies and nobody else.

North East Treatment collects used cooking oil from fryers and kitchens too, and it is processed into renewable fuel rather than disposed of. That is a useful line for any food company that reports on sustainability.

Already have a hauler you trust? That works too. Any licensed hauler can bring your grease and interceptor waste here.

Records for Audits and Inspections

Food plants are audited for nearly everything, and waste disposal is part of it. When your contractor dumps on a tag held on your plant’s account, each load produces an itemized ticket with the date, time, truck, weight in and out, gallons and price, emailed the same evening at 7:30 PM.

Send those tickets to a shared maintenance or EHS inbox and the record outlasts staff changes. If you want a second pair of eyes on disposal records before an audit, our environmental compliance consulting is built for exactly that.

Room for a Load That Cannot Wait

Interceptor pump-outs are large, and a backed-up interceptor does not wait for a convenient day. Three lanes run at once, 100,000 gallons of permitted storage is generally enough to absorb an unscheduled load, and the facility is open 24/7, with an RFID tag or a phone call after hours.

Dumping is open to licensed haulers from any county. See drive times from each county.

Plant manager, maintenance lead or EHS manager? Call (386) 304-1870 or email info@abio.us before the first load. After hours, or if no one picks up, call (386) 451-5607.
